Why are some truths,
…revealed for all to see,
…at times hastily discarded,
…to the depths of the sea?
You tell the world your life,
…is yours alone to control.
So you answer to no one,
…as THE god of your soul.
You take whatever you desire.
Yet one thing you cannot reap:
Answers to unbidden questions,
…revealed while you sleep.

Just what was the lie,
…you were deceitfully told,
…causing your conscience,
…to wither n’ fold?
And what would you,
…be so bold to tell,
…if foolishly you thought,
…your only destiny was hell?
Perhaps you think there is,
…no other option ahead.
So just for a moment now,
…please indulge me instead.

Tell me something,
…you could not be taught.
And I’ll tell you something,
…to give pause for thought.
Tell me something,
…you did not want to hear.
And I’ll tell you something,
…that can remove all fear.
Tell me something,
…you wished never to know.
And I’ll tell you something,
…that will cause hope to grow.
Yes, tell me the torment,
…you most often ponder.
And I will show you The Way,
…so you no longer have to wander.
